Breast Cancer - 53-year-old female





History
A 53-year-old female referred for PET scan due to speculated SPN found.

CT Findings
CT speculates solitary pulmonary nodule in the right upper lung (1 cm).

PET Findings
The PET scan revealed no FDG uptake in the lung lesion indicating that it is benign intense uptake in the left breast indicates breast cancer.

Change in treatment plan
Mass was confirmed, mammography, ultrasound guided biopsy followed. Biopsy showed infiltrating ductal carcinoma, Bloom Richardson grade II/III.
